Process for Applying for the Supplementary Labour Scheme

If employers need to apply for the Supplementary Labour Scheme, they can do so through UI. The entire process typically takes around six to nine months to complete. UI's Recruitment Manager will oversee the entire process and ensure compliance with Hong Kong/China government requirements.

1. Quota Application

  • Document Collection, Screening, and Organization

  • Liaising with Relevant Government Departments

2. Personnel Recruitment and Screening

  • Understanding Employer Requirements

  • Selecting candidates in Mainland China for the employer

  • Arranging for personnel to come to Hong Kong for interviews

  • Applying to the Chinese government department for personnel to come to Hong Kong

3. Arranging for Entry

  • Prepare Entry Documents (Contracts, Employee Handbook, etc.)

  • Arrange Accommodation (if necessary)

4. On-the-Job Training and Follow-up for Personnel

  • On-the-Job Training

  • Continuous Follow-up on Personnel Work

  • Renewal Arrangements
